Why name a poetry blog “Mouthfeel”? Because I believe that poetry is more fun if you read it aloud- whether it’s Dr. Seuss or Henry Wadsworth Longfellow- because you experience it with more than your eyes. Your ears get involved and your mouth is fully committed. And different words do feel different in your mouth. Don’t believe me? Say linoleum. Now say bupkes.

My intention is to publish one of my poems a day. Which is not to say that I won’t slip in a short story now and then if the spirit so moves me. Swing by, see what’s up, and if you feel like it comment suggested topics or words for future work.
